The Batman is the greatest interpretation of the DC’s Batman character to date. Of course that opinion of mine is truly subjective. Most would say that the Christian Bale trilogy outshines Robert Pattinson’s (the actor of The Batman) by light years. I disagree entirely.

Imagine this…you are a Freshman at Michigan State University walking to one of the school lecture halls (which had been turned into a theater) on campus as the sun sets. There’s a line of people outside waiting for their chance to watch an early premiere of Matt Reeves’s The Batman. You are sitting there with your school provided popcorn, in a room filled to the brim with your fellow movie lovers. You watch the 3 hour movie with complete immersion filled with awe and synchronization to the nirvana soundtrack. Once the movie ends, you think “this is one of the best works of superhero fiction I’ve ever seen” and walk outside. At this point, it’s dark and cold out and it’s somewhat of a long walk back to the dorm. You put your hood on and AirPods in. You play “Something in the Way” by Nirvana on repeat the whole way back and become one with the knight of darkness. You feel that you have embodied Batman.
This was just a bit of a look into how I felt watching this movie for the first time. I enjoyed it so much that every time I want to watch it. I have to make sure the conditions are perfect prior to that. Which is also why I don’t get to see it often. The way I felt watching this movie and the way the story was told to me, I loved it. Which rendition of Batman is your favorite? Movies, TV shows, etc.
